We’re a diverse, welcoming group of people who enjoy getting outdoors together. You’ll find all ages, backgrounds, and abilities walking side by side, each with their own reasons for joining in. Some of us come for the challenge, others for fitness, headspace, or simply a sociable day out - the choice is yours. If you’re happiest on a gentle reservoir circuit, we do that. If you want to push yourself on one of England’s higher peaks, we do that too! You decide how much or how little you take on.
What began as a handful of people meeting for walks has grown into a real community. We encourage each other, laugh together, and always finish with that sense of achievement you only get from time spent in nature.
Midas is led and supported by a team of volunteers. Meet your support team:

Trailblazer
Fida is the heart of Midas Adventure Activities. An award-winning Mountain Leader with decades of experience, he has dedicated his life to opening up the outdoors for everyone. His inclusive approach has empowered hundreds of people to discover confidence, wellbeing, and joy in nature, from complete beginners to those tackling their first big summit.
Recognised nationally for his community impact, Fida has featured on BBC Countryfile, been named Mountain Leader of the Year, and even visited Buckingham Palace to meet Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in honour of his volunteer work. But despite the accolades, he remains grounded, warm, and driven by a simple mission: making the outdoors welcoming, safe, and barrier-free.
He is especially passionate about helping people from urban areas and diverse backgrounds discover landscapes they never knew were so close to home. Highly trained, fully insured, and experienced in leading everything from gentle walks to demanding mountain days, Fida brings the perfect balance of safety, encouragement, and enthusiasm.
And of course, wherever Fida goes, Odin goes too - bounding ahead on the trail, making friends, and reminding us all of the pure joy of being outside.
